Twinset Diver

The PADI Twinset Diver Specialty course introduces divers to diving with a twinset - a double-cylinder configuration that delivers significantly more gas capacity and, for many divers, a real step up in confidence and self-sufficiency underwater. Over one day at Diving Academy, you will learn how to set up, balance and dive a twinset safely, covering the configuration differences, weighting adjustments and buoyancy considerations that come with carrying two cylinders instead of one.

Twinsets are widely used by divers moving toward more demanding diving, whether that is longer dives, deeper recreational limits, or simply the reassurance of built-in redundancy from an independent gas supply. This course focuses on the practical handling skills that make the difference between a twinset that feels cumbersome and one that feels like a natural extension of your existing diving technique - trim, streamlining, and managing the extra bulk and buoyancy characteristics safely in the water.

You will practise the setup and in-water skills under close instructor supervision at Diving Academy, working at a pace that builds genuine comfort and control with the new configuration rather than rushing through the mechanics.

For divers who are curious about technical or more equipment-intensive diving but are not yet ready to commit to a full technical programme, Twinset Diver is a natural and approachable place to start, building skills and confidence that carry directly into more advanced training down the line.
