In detail
About This Course
Twinset diving opens the door to greater gas reserves, redundancy and confidence underwater, and is a natural stepping stone for divers with an eye on technical training. The PADI Twinset Diver Specialty Instructor course, delivered in a single day at Diving Academy, prepares you to teach this specialty properly rather than simply demonstrate it.
The course covers how to organise, promote and run the Twinset Diver Specialty Diver course, including how to teach correct rig configuration, valve drills, trim and buoyancy with double cylinders, and the situational awareness that comes with managing a more complex gas system. Alongside the practical skills, you will look at how to communicate the real value of specialty training so students understand why twinset configuration matters, not just how to assemble one.
To join, you need PADI Assistant Instructor status, to be an instructor candidate in training, or to hold a PADI Divemaster certification, noting that some specialties carry additional prerequisites. Training is delivered with input and hands-on experience from your local PADI Course Director, giving you a direct line to experienced, practical teaching insight.
Becoming a Twinset Diver Specialty Instructor lets you offer a genuinely useful bridge course for divers heading toward technical diving, and moves you a step closer to Master Scuba Diver Trainer status, which requires at least five specialty instructor certifications. It is a strong choice for Diving Academy instructors building a technically minded teaching portfolio.
