Digital Underwater Photographer (Mermaid)
Your underwater movement deserves to be captured properly, not just snapped on the fly, and this one-day specialty shows you exactly how. Built specifically for mermaids, it tackles what actually makes a mermaid shot work: body position, monofin kick, flowing fabric and hair, and how light plays around a tail. You'll practise shooting from both sides of the camera and editing so the result looks as graceful as it felt to perform.

About This Course
The Digital Underwater Photographer Mermaid speciality takes the core skills of underwater photography and applies them to the growing world of mermaiding. It is designed for mermaids and mermaid students who want to bring home images and video that actually do their underwater movement justice.
Photographing a mermaid in a monofin is not the same as photographing a regular diver or snorkeler. Body position, fin kick, fabric and hair all move differently, and light behaves differently around a mermaid tail than around standard scuba gear. This one day course works through those specifics, alongside the fundamentals of composition, exposure and camera handling in the water.
You will practise shooting both as the photographer and as the subject, learning how to direct a shoot, work with natural light in a pool or shallow open water setting, and edit images so the final result looks as graceful underwater as it felt to perform.
Whether you are building a portfolio, documenting your own mermaid journey, or simply want better photos from pool sessions and events, this course gives you a practical, mermaid-specific photography skill set to take away.

Mermaid Photography Session
Your instructor walks you through the basics that actually matter underwater - composition, natural light and timing a shot around your own movement - before you get in the water to put it into practice. It is built specifically around capturing mermaid swimming, not general diving shots.
